Support Woman's Participation in Political and Economical life in Yemen

In partnership with MEPI, OPI is implementing the project "Support Woman's Participation in Political and Economical life in Yemen"

 

The Project Goal:

The project aims to support woman's participation in the political and economical life through campaigning advocacy for woman's participation in the next round of public elections as well as enhance woman's engagement and role in anti-corruption.

The Project activities:

-       Prepare and release of a procedural simplified guide for monitoring the public money that facilitates citizen's role in the watch of performance of official authorities and reporting on corruption.

-       Carry out 4 training courses for 15 women in Taiz and 15 in Hodeida in anti-corruption, promoting the good governance, documentation of cases on wasting the public money, and reporting and filling complaints to the concerned official authorities, as well as training in advocacy, effective and interactive communication, and the use of social media in the advocacy process.

-       Establish an advocacy network working on woman's participation in the political and economical decision, initially for the next elections in Yemen.

-       The women involving to the program to implement an advocacy campaign supporting woman's participation in the next elections, drafting on-site reports on the results of their watch of the performance of official authorities in the local communities.
