The Nisa'a integrity promoting network NIPN has implemented an advocacy campaign in Taiz and Hodeida, to promote women participation in public affairs, particularly in the upcoming elections due after the interim period.

The NIPN is considered to be an outcome of a project executed by the Yemen organization for promoting integrity OPI, on supporting women participation in the public economic and political affair, in partnership with the middle east program initiative MEPI

A total of 30 women participants from Taiz and Hodeida met up to 25 institutions representing political parties and coalitions, civil society organizations, syndicates and networks that are concerned with supporting women's participation in public affair.

The participants were able to have a written permission from the representatives of these bodies taking care of supporting women's electoral participation in economic and political life.

The project's coordinate Mr. Marwan Ismail said that " this successful participation in women advocacy campaign embodies the project's success in enhancing women involvement in the public affair in Yemen.
