Hodeida: OPI trains women in participation in the political decision
Yemen Organization for Promoting Integrity (OPI) launches a four-day training in the effective communication skills and advocacy in Hodeida province.
It targeted fifteen woman from the political organizations, civil society, the media, entrepreneurs and individual activists.
Ahmed Alzekri, who is the chairman of OPI, said that the training works on developing the capacity of participant women in managing effective communication and advocacy, activating their role and engagement in the political and economical life.
"This is the third training occurred in the program, representing a linkage between the activities began in August 2014 and other events to be implemented until March 2015", Alzekri stated. "It focuses on skills of lobbying for woman's access to decision-making, especially as for the upcoming parliamentary elections, in addition to promote their expertise in drafting monitoring reports on the state of public money and anti-corruption", he added.
